Two FUN Classroom Lessons to help your 5th graders get ready for Middle School! Lesson one gets the students moving up and around the room by reflecting on their opinions and feelings about middle school. It also includes a cyber-tour of a middle school (or your own) and a connection to literature. The second lesson has the students move around the room while reflecting on various statements posted on the walls. This generates some great discussions! And the students will finish out the lesson by practicing combination locks (with the instruction sheet) and giving advice to the rising 5th graders. Both lessons are aligned with the ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors.
