
This Bounce Back! Resiliency skills group counseling curriculum for upper elementary aged students includes the following is a fun, supportive group that encourages optimism, self-esteem, emotional regulation, responsibility, social relationships, identifying supports, problem-solving, goal setting, and peer teaching.
Includes: Group description/rationale, pre-screening tool, consent form, 12 sessions of lesson plans (includes objectives, plan, evaluation method, materials needed, ASCA mindsets/behaviors alignment, homework option) covering group introduction, optimism, emotion regulation, responsibility for behavior, self-esteem, social relationships, identifying supports, problem-solving, goal setting, peer teaching x2, and termination, post-screening tool, group handouts needed for all lessons (student handouts and visual aids), all assessment materials needed for each lesson, and teacher reminder/student passes printable.
I have specifically used this group with students have experienced homelessness at some level (actual homelessness, moving in with various relatives, living in shelters, etc.) and seen STUNNING growth. I have also used this with students who have witnessed some form of trauma (mostly domestic violence).
