When a student loses a parent, family member, or friend, the school counselor may often be the ideal person to help a student process her feelings since a) those feelings are probably impacting her in school, b) the counselor is a familiar figure to most kids, and c) the child’s caregivers may be too caught up in their own grief to be fully present for her.
I created this book to help students who’ve experienced a loss to share and process their feelings. I’ve used it with individuals and small groups, in single sessions or over the course of several weeks.
Includes:
***12-page grief/memory book (5.5 x 8.5 inches)
(two versions: one with lines for writing, and one without the lines for students who can’t write yet or who prefer to draw)
***Instructions for use
***Additional resources
